Why A Great Blue Heron?
Our business focus and personal passions are steeped in the outdoors. We wanted a name to reflect that. We believe our name should invoke the image of something iconic, something meaningful to hunters and anglers alike. The Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) definitely fits the bill. For hunters in search of wary waterfowl and other game, a blue heron near the decoy spread can give ducks, geese and other quarry the extra bit of confidence they need to come within shooting range. For anglers, a blue heron in the water can signal a school of baitfish in the area – and wherever there are baitfish there are bound to be even bigger fish nearby.
Don’t take our word for it, take theirs.
