Ballistic Magazine Names Benelli M4 H2O Tactical as 2019 Best Semi-Auto Shotgun

M4 H2O Tactical also receives Ballistic Best Reader’s Choice award

The Benelli M4 H2O Tactical shotgun received Ballistic Magazine’s Best Semi-Auto Shotgun award for 2019. The venerable shotgun topped a number of competitors and was cited as ultra reliable with sharp looks and noted for its light felt recoil. The shotgun also received Ballistic Magazine Reader’s Choice award for Best Semi-Auto Shotgun by receiving more than 40 percent of the votes.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Ballistic Magazine staff and its readers,” said Benelli USA Vice President of Brand Marketing Tim Joseph. “We are proud of our commitment to produce the best firearms possible and it shows when we are acknowledged by industry professionals. We thank them and their dedicated readers for naming the M4 H20 as one of Ballistic’s Best winners.”

Originally designed for use by U.S. military and law enforcement personnel, the M4 Tactical (designated M1014 Joint Service Combat Shotgun for U.S. military) has been battle proven for reliability and performance. The M4 H2O Tactical is an enhancement of this shotgun with a Titanium Cerakote finish on the barrel, receiver magazine tube and internal parts for increased corrosion resistance and durability.

The M4 H20 Tactical’s reliability and superior performance comes from Benelli’s Auto Regulating Gas Operation (ARGO) system, featuring dual self-cleaning pistons mounted just in front of the chamber to drive the action. The simple and reliable action eliminates the complex linkage and heavy parts found in other combat shotguns and self adjusts to different loads.

Featuring 5+1 capacity, an 18.5-inch barrel, ghost-ring sights and a standard Picatinny rail, the Benelli M4 H20 Tactical shotgun is available with either a black synthetic pistol grip or black synthetic tactical stock. Both configurations have an overall weight of 7.8 pounds and an overall length of 40 inches. The shotgun also comes with sling attachments and a standard modified choke.
